Vote Now: These 13 Wild Trail-Cam Photos Range from Stunning to Seriously Funny
What happened
Tactacam is wrapping up a public photo contest built around user-submitted images captured on cellular trail cameras. The company asked customers to send in their best shots, then narrowed the entries down for a final round of public voting.
The finalists span five categories: deer, birds, predators, rare, and funny. Outdoor Life highlighted a selection of favorites from the group, ranging from scenic wildlife moments to oddball, split-second surprises.
Among the images mentioned are a whitetail doe standing in falling snow, a spring black bear crossing a log, a GPS-collared bighorn on the prairie, and a pair of eagles tangling in the snow. Other standout moments include a bobcat leaping at a wild turkey, a caribou feeding as its coat changes, and a buck photographed with lightning in the background.
Some of the “funny” and unusual entries include a black bear rolling around a bait site, a whitetail buck with something stuck in its antlers, and a buck spooking as an antler sheds and flips into the air. Voting is open through Friday, Feb. 27.
